Traffic slow at Squirrel Hill Tunnels detour

Traffic is moving slowly but steadily today along the Parkway East and the detour caused by the closing of the westbound-inbound side of the Squirrel Hill Tunnels.
Traffic cameras show a steady string of vehicles approaching the exit at Edgewood-Swissvale onto South Braddock Avenue to take the detour around the tunnels.
For the fifth time this year, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has closed the inbound side of the tunnels for a continuing rehabilitation project. The closure began at 9 p.m. Friday and will continue until 5 a.m. Monday.
