PennDOT announced today that Tuesday's scheduled closure of the outbound Route 28 off-ramp to Millvale has been postponed but a full inbound closure at the Millvale interchange is on track for this weekend.

The new closure time for the off-ramp work is 7 a.m. next Monday. The ramp will be closed for repairs until late October.

The posted detour uses the Sharpsburg off-ramp and Bridge Street to turn northbound traffic around, giving it access to Millvale from the inbound off-ramp.

Meanwhile, inbound Route 28 will be closed again at the Millvale interchange this weekend.

The closure will occur from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Traffic will be detoured using the southbound off- and on-ramps. Police will assist with traffic control. Crews will continue work on the bridges that carry inbound Route 28 over the Millvale interchange.

The tentative schedule also calls for closures on the ensuing two weekends.
