As if traffic on the Parkway West wasn't bad enough, a small pig got loose and cavorted amid the vehicles going inbound between Carnegie and Green Tree this morning.

A photo snapped by a motorist appeared on Twitter around 9 a.m. The pig was making its way along the concrete center barrier, moving faster, it would seem, than any of the vehicles caught in the typical morning rush-hour jam.

PennDOT spokesman Jim Struzzi said officials in the traffic management center in Collier did not see the pig and had no information about it.
