Crews continued to work today to repair damage to Downtown streets and utilities after the rupture of a 12-inch water main on Thursday.

Repairs to the water line have been completed, according to the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority. Now crews are backfilling, and that is expected to be complete by the end of the day. Repaving work of the damaged pavement will be done Sunday.

The break at Fort Pitt Boulevard and Wood Street caused water to cascade onto the Parkway East "bathtub" section, nearby streets and sidewalks and into basements of buildings.

Fort Pitt Boulevard and Wood Street remain closed in the area.
