Ship of Zion -- The Pittsburgh faith-based service providing free shuttle van rides to work, job interviews and job training is expanding service to the North Side. Destinations include Allegheny General Hospital, Bidwell Training Center and Community College of Allegheny County and both stadiums. Information at 412-325-1332.
I-79, Allegheny County -- All three lanes now open in both directions between Bridgeville and Crafton. Some night work will continue on various ramps through early November, including this weekend. The ramp from the Parkway West to I-79 South is closed all day today. It'll reopen at 5 a.m. tomorrow. Detour will be posted.
North of the I-79 bridges over the Ohio River, PennDOT imposes restrictions from time to time to the I-279 split, part of the $9.9 million contract to prepare the site for a two-year rehabilitation starting in March.
Route 8, Etna-Shaler -- Project nearing completion in area known as "Mae West Bend," but no date set to restore full traffic.
Route 8, Hampton -- Traffic being maintained on southbound side, one lane each way. New bridge over Pine Creek to be finished in December.

Route 31, Westmoreland County -- Eastbound climbing lane in Mount Pleasant Township closed, part of widening from three lanes to four. Expect delays this week while temporary concrete barriers are removed and milling and paving occur.
Route 60, Aliquippa -- Work supposed to be done last month will now last through November because bridge preservation was added to the $7.4 million contract. Traffic is shifted in Hopewell and Center townships.
Route 65, Kilbuck -- Highway is reopened, two lanes southbound, one lane northbound, in Kilbuck, where landslide had closed the road almost two weeks at shopping plaza development site.
Route 119, Hempfield -- PennDOT said ongoing work between Willow Crossing and Greensburg is on schedule to be completed by Nov. 30.

Morganza Road, Canonsburg -- Single lane restrictions tomorrow and Tuesday while PennDOT repairs a small bridge between Adams Avenue and Weavertown Road.
Strabane Avenue, Canonsburg -- Closed Thursday through Oct. 31 between West Pike Street and Latimer Avenue while PennDOT replaces crossing surface with new concrete surface.
Warrendale-Bayne Road, Marshall -- Traffic at the TECH 21 Research Park intersection to experience intermittent lane closures through July 2007 for widening, traffic signals, other work in proximity to Route 19 and I-79 at Warrendale.
31st Street Bridge, Pittsburgh -- Closed for rehabilitation. Use 40th Street Bridge or 16th Street Bridge. Completion is next October.
Freeport Bridge -- Three-ton weight limit will remain in place until early December on the main span over Allegheny River.
Homestead Grays Bridge -- Traffic patterns change tomorrow. All traffic to be restricted to curb lanes, a single lane in each direction.
Hot Metal Bridge -- Work under way to convert the second of two bridges over the Mon River into a bike-pedestrian crossing.
South Hills disruption -- Work switches to outbound side tomorrow, but there's virtually no single-track operation. Buses face detours, but inbound trolleys in morning and outbound trolley in afternoon rush hours will operate through the Mount Washington Transit Tunnel, meaning business as usual for most commuters. In off-peak periods, trolleys will be re-routed over the Allentown line.
