Star party at Wagman Observatory

Large clusters of stars, colored double stars and the planets Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune are part of the show at the October Dark Sky/Moonrise Star Party sponsored by the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh. It starts 7:15 p.m. Saturday at Nicholas E. Wagman Observatory, Deer Lakes Regional Park, Frazer, weather permitting.

The public also will be able to see the waning gibbous moon rise about 10:58 p.m. The observatory telescopes will be aimed at the Andromeda galaxy and double cluster in Perseus. Information: 724-224-2510.
