Orie Melvin jury to resume deliberations Thursday

The jury deliberating the case of suspended Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Joan Orie Melvin and her sister, Janine Orie, will return Thursday to begin its fourth day of discussions.
The jurors asked to go home about 3:30 p.m. today. They began deliberating late Friday.
Justice Orie Melvin and Janine Orie are charged with using staff in the judge's Superior Court chambers, as well as the legislative staff of another sister, former state Sen. Jane Orie, to run campaigns for Justice Orie Melvin in the 2003 and 2009 election for the supreme court.
