Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan will stop in Allegheny County for a campaign rally Tuesday.
Mr. Ryan, a seven-term congressman from Wisconsin, will hold a Victory Rally at Beaver Steel Services in the Rosslyn Farms Industrial Park in Carnegie on Tuesday at 11 a.m.
The trip is part of an announcement tour that will take Mr. Ryan across the country in coming days. He will spend the entire day in Pennsylvania Tuesday, going from the Carnegie rally in the morning to a private fundraising event in Philadelphia later in the afternoon. He has already made stops in Virginia, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Ohio, Nevada, Colorado and Florida.
Kate Meriwether, Pennsylvania communications director for the Romney For President campaign, couldn't say for sure what the theme of Mr. Ryan's speech will be but said he will probably emphasize the campaign's strategies to strengthen the middle class.
"Mitt Romney and Congressman Ryan will end the raid of Medicare and work together to put forth real solutions to grow our economy and create jobs for the middle class," she said in an email message.
The event requires preregistration at www.mittromney.com/states/pennsylvania. Doors open at 9 a.m.
