Mayoral challenger Mark DeSantis met with the Post-Gazette's editorial board recently for a discussion of issues likely to face the city's next mayor.

DeSantis, 48, a high-tech businessman and consultant, is the Republican challenger to Democrat and incumbent mayor Luke Ravenstahl. Other challengers are Libertarian Tony Oliva and Socialist Worker Ryan Scott.
The candidates have engaged in several debates over the course of the campaign, including an Oct. 9 forum sponsored by the Post-Gazette at the Sen. John Heinz History Center.
The editorial board's endorsement for mayor appears in today's Post-Gazette and online at post-gazette.com.
