Mayor Luke Ravenstahl met with the Post-Gazette's editorial board recently for a discussion of issues likely to face the city's next mayor.

At age 27, Ravenstahl is the nation's youngest big-city mayor. A democrat, his challengers at the ballot box on Nov. 6 are Republican Mark DeSantis, Libertarian Tony Oliva and Socialist Worker Ryan Scott.
The candidates have engaged in several debates over the course of the campaign, including an Oct. 9 forum sponsored by the Post-Gazette at the Sen. John Heinz History Center.
The editorial board's endorsement for mayor appears in today's Post-Gazette and online at post-gazette.com.
