Allegheny County will accept voter registration forms until 7 p.m.

Allegheny County's elections office will stay open until 7 p.m. today to accept hand-delivered voter registration forms. Today is the deadline for registering to vote in the Nov. 6 election.
People needing to register may apply in person or bring in a completed voter registration form to the Elections Division in Room 609 of the County Office Building, 542 Forbes Ave., Downtown.
Voters must be at least age 18 by election day, a U.S. citizen at least one month prior to the election and a resident of Pennsylvania and their election district for at least 30 days before balloting takes place.
Approved applicants will receive a Certificate of Voter Registration that they should take to their polling place.
Registered voters who have moved or changed their name or party affiliation also should notify the Elections Division in person by 7 p.m. today.
Voter registration forms may be printed out from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's website, www.votespa.com. Click on the link "Register to Vote."
