• Mon-Vale Health Resources is offering flu shots throughout the month of October at its Healthy Directions health resource center, Finleyville Giant Eagle, 3701 Brownsville Road, Union. For more information, call 724-348-6699.

• North Huntingdon is offering flu shots to Westmoreland County residents from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Town House, 11279 Center Highway. The cost is $26, free for those with Medicare or Security Blue cards. Registration is required. Call 724-863-3806.

• Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville, is hosting a public flu vaccination clinic from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday in the hospital's Learning Centers. The cost is $25, although patients covered by Medicare Part B should bring their cards to the vaccination session so that Forbes Regional can bill their Medicare carrier directly. • UPMC St. Margaret, near Aspinwall, is offering free flu shots to people 65 and older from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Entrance B of the hospital. Individuals from 18 to 64 years of age without chronic health conditions may be vaccinated for a fee of $15. No appointment is necessary; parking tickets will be validated.
