Instinct Fitness, a health club in Bridgeville, will sponsor the first Pittsburgh Kettlebell Sport Exhibition on Sept. 23.

Kettlebells are, in essence, cannon balls with handles. They originated in Russia about 200 years ago. Working out with kettlebells has been shown to build strength and endurance faster than other forms of resistance training.

The exhibition is open to all local men and women, from beginners to those experienced in the sport. It will be held at Instinct Fitness, 331 Station St., Bridgeville. Weigh-in is at 8 a.m., with the exhibition beginning at 9 a.m.

The registration fee is $55. There is no charge for spectators. For more information, contact Justin Thomas, 412-475-0312.
