The Port Authority says it has no immediate plans to redirect any existing bus service from Oakland to Lawrenceville. Frequent service is available to the new hospital from Downtown, Oakland, and East Liberty.

From Downtown: 86B Frankstown provides the most direct service to the new hospital. Board buses at Penn Avenue at 8th Street or Liberty Avenue at the Wood Street T Station.

From East Liberty or the East Busway: 86B Frankstown stop is at Penn Mall Station -- Shelter No. 4. From busway, use orange pedestrian overpass to get to Penn Mall Station.

From Oakland: 54C Oakland-Strip District provides the most direct service to the new hospital. Board buses along the Fifth Avenue bus lane, Forbes Avenue at the Carnegie Museum, or along Craig Street.

Other routes that have stops near the hospital are:

77D Highland-Friendship, 77F Morningside-Friendship and 77G Stanton Heights-Friendship:

From Downtown Pittsburgh, board at Smithfield Street at Sixth Avenue (Burlington store). Exit bus on Howley Street at Friendship Avenue and walk one block north on Friendship Avenue to hospital.
