Duquesne City School District to hold community meetings regarding recovery plan

Paul Long, chief recovery officer for the Duquesne City School District, today announced the dates of four community meetings that are part of the process of drawing up a financial recovery plan for the distressed district.

The meetings will be:

??? 7 p.m. Dec. 19 at the Duquesne Education Center auditorium, 300 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne.

??? 7 p.m. Jan. 8 at Macedonia Baptist Church, Duquesne Boulevard and Cochran Avenue, Duquesne.

??? 5 p.m. Jan. 16, Christ the Light of the World Church, 32 S. First St., Duquesne.

??? 2 p.m. Jan. 24, the Duquesne Education Center auditorium.

Mr. Long, who was appointed Nov. 16, is charged with developing a plan by Jan. 31.
