Emergency personnel had to rescue a woman who fell over an embankment at a dam in Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County, this afternoon.

A Westmoreland County emergency dispatcher said the woman only suffered cuts and bruises. Rescuers lifted the woman out in a Stokes basket, a stretcher-like basket raised and lowered by a rope.

The woman fell at the Braeburn Dam near Lowe and Braeburn Roads.
