A Westmoreland County woman died following an early morning car crash in Mount Pleasant Borough.

Cinnamon M. Everhart, 43, of Scottdale was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, near the intersection of Main and Church streets, the Westmoreland County coroner said in a press release.

The one-vehicle crash occurred around 3 a.m., when the vehicle Everhart was driving south on Church Street crossed the center line and struck several steel pipes, the coroner said. Everhart was alone in the vehicle.

Speed is thought to have played a factor, Everhart was not wearing a seat belt and airbags deployed, the coroner said.

An autopsy was performed today, though toxicology test results are pending, the coroner said.

Scottdale's Ferguson Funeral Home will handle funeral arrangements.
