Westmoreland County man charged with raping 11-year-old

A Westmoreland County man was arrested Tuesday on charges that he raped an 11-year-old girl and produced child pornography.

Timothy E. Shearer, 54, of Avonmore was being held in the Westmoreland County Prison on $500,000 bail. He faces charges of rape, sexual assault, producing or directing child pornography, indecent assault and other offenses.
