Westmoreland County boy dies in hospital after drowning

A 3-year-old boy who had been hospitalized for a week after he drowned has died, officials said today.
Maximus Ridilla was pronounced dead at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Friday, according to the Allegheny County medical examiner's office. He had been hospitalized since July 22, when medics were called to a relative's home on Rhododendron Drive in New Alexandria.
