The North Huntingdon commissioners tonight voted to hire Andrew Lisiecki to be the township's new police chief at a salary of $97,400 per year.
Mr. Lisiecki, 52, had served as police chief of Green Tree for three years.
Prior to that, he worked for 25 years as an officer, sergeant or lieutenant for the City of Pittsburgh, serving in every zone and in the uniformed patrol, canine, plainclothes and undercover crime and gang suppression and robbery squads, among other divisions.
He will succeed former North Huntingdon police Chief Michael Daugherty, who retired on March 1.
