A former dentist who believes Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has been sending brain-damaging waves through his computer launched into another rant against Mr. Gates today in federal court before being sentenced to 18 months in prison for threatening an FBI agent with a Hells Angels attack.

Anthony Dinozzi, 45, of Youngwood, Westmoreland County, received something of a break from Senior U.S. District Judge Donetta Ambrose, who could have given him up to 21 months.

She agreed with the prosecution and the defense that Mr. Dinozzi has mental health issues, but she also said he needs to be punished.

"You can't be calling law enforcement and making threats," she said.

Mr. Dinozzi pleaded guilty in May to leaving a threatening voice message on the desk phone of FBI Agent Gregory Heeb, who had called Mr. Dinozzi's mother because her son had resumed calling the chief judge of U.S. District Court in Seattle and the head of the Seattle FBI division to urge them to arrest Mr. Gates.

In the expletive-laden message, played in court by the prosecution, Mr. Dinozzi threatened to beat up the agent and have the Hells Angels motorcycle club attack him.

He also left a similar message on the voice mail system of the police department in Medina, Wash., the exclusive Seattle suburb where Mr. Gates lives.

Mr. Dinozzi issued the threats because authorities would not act on his demands to pursue Mr. Gates.

Prior to his sentencing today, he repeated those claims, saying Mr. Gates is "hacking the Internet" and that police won't do anything about it.

"No one will listen to me," he said.
