A Washington County woman was indicted Tuesday on accusations that she helped serial bank robber Rudolph Haladyna hold up a series of banks in Pennsylvania and West Virginia in 2010.
Jessica L. Crawford, 32, of Marianna, is charged with conspiracy to commit bank robbery and related offenses.
A federal grand jury in Clarksburg, W.Va., said Ms. Crawford served as Mr. Haladyna's getaway driver in several robberies and was with him in others when he used a gun to carry out heists.
The FBI and state police in West Virginia said Ms. Crawford helped rob the Charleroi Federal Savings Bank branch in Bentleyville on Sept. 13 and the Redstone branch of PCN Bank on Oct. 14 and again on Oct. 29.
The grand jury also said Ms. Crawford was with Mr. Haladyna when he showed a gun while robbing the Cheat Lake branch of Huntington Bank in Morgantown, W.Va., on Nov. 23 and the United Bank in Weirton, W.Va., on Dec. 3.
Mr. Haladyna, of Clarksville, Pa., was sentenced in August to 20 years in federal prison.
