Truck driver held for court in Washington County

A California truck driver was held for trial this morning in the vehicular deaths of two women over the weekend in Washington County.
District Judge Larry W. Hopkins presided over the preliminary hearing in Washington County Common Pleas Court for Yevgeniy Bugreyev, 44, of West Sacramento, Calif.
Authorities charged Mr. Bugreyev with two counts of homicide by vehicle in the Saturday deaths of Karen L. Babka, 57, and Kaitlin Y. Babka, 21, a mother and daughter from Hughesville, Md.
The women were killed when a tractor-trailer driven by Mr. Bugreyev crossed the median and crushed their car on Interstate 70 in South Strabane.
