Power outage empties Meadows casino

Guests of The Meadows Racetrack & Casino in Washington County have been evacuated because of a power outage tonight, according to Meadows staff members.

Workers said the casino and racetrack lost power at 6:05 p.m. and that all guests and non-essential workers were evacuated at 6:52 p.m. The cause of the power outage, which is ongoing, was not immediately known, but local emergency officials say they have received no reports of a fire and they have not dispatched units to the casino.
