Police check out pipe bombs in Speers

The Allegheny County Police bomb squad is responding to a possible pipe bomb inside a Washington County home.
A 911 call about the device inside a residence in the 100 block of River Avenue in Speers came into the Washington County emergency operations center about 10:10 a.m., a supervisor there said today.
Charleroi police are at the scene.
No further information was immediately available.
