Motorcyclist killed after striking pole in Washington County

A Washington County man died after he crashed his motorcycle in Cross Creek Township late Wednesday night.

Randy Loughry, 48, of Avella, was driving a motorcycle south on Cross Creek Road about 11:30 p.m., when he hit a utility pole near Paris Road. Mr. Loughry, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the crash scene about 1:20 a.m., Washington County coroner Tim Warco said.
