McDonald man dead after crash in Cecil

A McDonald man was killed after a two-vehicle crash in Cecil this afternoon.

Dennis W. Cook, 64, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened at about 3:20 p.m. at state Route 980 and Weavertown Lane. Cook was a passenger in the vehicle that lost control on a slippery turn and hit an approaching northbound vehicle. Three other people in the vehicle and the driver of the second vehicle were taken to local hospitals.

The cause of death was accidental due to blunt force trauma, according to a news release from Washington County coroner Tim Warco. Cecil Township Police are investigating the incident.
