Southwest Regional police wrote in an alert posted to their Twitter account that the man entered the Dairy Queen on Route 88 about 8:20 p.m. and showed a gun. He demanded money but left without any and was last seen heading north toward South Park.

Police described the suspect as a white man in his 20s who is about 5 feet 8 inches tall. They said he was wearing jeans, a green-and-white striped polo shirt with a black undershirt, a black ski mask and black shoes.

Anyone who spots him is asked to call 911.

On Friday afternoon, a Dairy Queen several miles away on Route 88 in Bethel Park was robbed, according to a report from KDKA.

In that robbery, a suspect described as tall and wearing a mask over his face, showed a gun and ordered a cashier to open the cash register and place the money in a grocery bag, KDKA reported. The suspect then ran from the store.
