Inquest scheduled into Washington County fire death

The Washington County coroner has scheduled an inquest into the death of a woman who died in a house fire this spring.

Firefighters found the body of Elaine Manack, 59, of Finleyville, inside a home on Nasal Lane in Union. The coroner's office determined that she died of smoke inhalation. One man was injured in the fire and taken to a Pittsburgh hospital.

The inquest will be held at 9:30 a.m. July 20 in the Courthouse Square Public Meeting Room, Room 104, on 100 W. Beau St. in Washington.
