All-terrain vehicle driver dies in pond

A Washington County man died Tuesday evening when he drove an ATV into a pond.
Chad Culley, 39, of Burgettstown, was riding a friend's ATV along Joffre-Bulger Road in Smith about 4:45 p.m. when he drove into a pond and the ATV overturned, Washington County Coroner Tim Warco said in a news release. A driver passing through the area spotted Mr. Culley and the ATV in the pond, the coroner said.
While the cause of death is still pending an autopsy, the coroner has ruled the death an accident.
