One person was taken to the hospital after a crash involving a vehicle and train in Monongahela, according to a Washington County emergency dispatch supervisor.

Details of what happened were not immediately clear, but KDKA-TV is reporting that the train slammed into the vehicle. The train did not derail.

The dispatch supervisor said the crash happened in the 100-block of the Seventh Street Crossing. A 911 call came in at 1:24 p.m.

Monongahela police were still on scene investigating shortly after 2:30 p.m. They did not immediately return a message.

Norfolk Southern authorities may also look into the incident, the dispatcher supervisor said.
