Video: Supporting the Jena Six

Students at several local universities marched yesterday from the streets of Oakland to the District Attorney's office Downtown in support of the Jena Six.
The "walkout," as it was called, was inspired by rapper/activist Mos Def, who had urged Oct. 1 be turned into a day of protest about the jailing of black students in Jena, La., after a racially charged incident there nearly a year ago in which white students allegedly hung nooses in a schoolyard tree.
That, in turn, led to a physical altercation between a white student and those now referred to as the Jena Six.
