The Pennsylvania delegation to the Electoral College cast its 20 ballots for President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden in a midday ceremony Monday at the state Capitol.

Mr. Obama won the state last month with 52 percent of the vote, compared with 47 percent for Republican challenger Mitt Romney.

Pennsylvania awards all of its 20 electoral votes to the winner, so the electors gathered Monday in the House chamber were all Democrats.

Gov. Tom Corbett, a Republican, addressed the college with remarks about the history of American democracy and the importance of peaceful transitions of power.
