Sandusky son details abuse

An audio recording of investigators interviewing Jerry Sandusky's son Matt was obtained by NBC News and aired Tuesday morning.
In it, Matt Sandusky, now 33, described the former Penn State University assistant football coach blowing raspberries on his stomach, touching his genitals and showering with him.
His description was similar to much of the testimony of the victims who testified earlier this month in Jerry Sandusky's trial.
The elder Sandusky was convicted of 45 of 48 counts and will be sentenced in about 90 days.
Matt Sandusky went to civil attorneys who represented at least two of the victims in the case in the middle of the first week of trial and offered his story.
They took him to prosecutors, who recorded the interview with Matt Sandusky, according to NBC reports, on June 15.
In the recording, Mr. Sandusky, who was adopted by Jerry and Dottie Sandusky after living with them as a foster child, said he has been in counseling and more details were emerging in his memory. Still, he said he could not recall any oral sex or penetration, as several of the victims at the trial testified.
Matt Sandusky said in the interview that he was abused by Jerry Sandusky from ages 8 to 15. He also said he came forward "to right the wrong of going to the grand jury and lying."
Neither Andrew Shubin, who is representing Matt Sandusky, nor the attorney general's office returned a phone call seeking comment.
Karl Rominger, one of two attorneys representing Jerry Sandusky, was skeptical of the emerging story.
"What he's saying, and why he's saying it, I have no idea," he said. "He was helping his father carry boxes into the courthouse, then suddenly -- in the middle of the trial -- flip-flops."
Jerry Sandusky, who had planned to testify, did not because of fears Matt Sandusky would be called as a rebuttal witness against him.
"I think it's telling the prosecution didn't call him during its case in chief, because his story is fraught with issues," Mr. Rominger said.
He added that Matt Sandusky had previously talked to the defense in preparation of the case, and previous testified under oath that he had never been abused by his father.
After word broke that Mr. Sandusky had gone to prosecutors, the defense ordered there be no communication between their client and the young man.
Mr. Rominger was unsure if new charges would be brought based on Mr. Sandusky's allegations.
Mr. Rominger visited Jerry Sandusky in the Centre County Correctional Facility on Monday. He is being held in solitary confinement until he undergoes a psychological evaluation.
"He's doing well in the prison for a guy in his situation," he said. "He's somber. He was weary and tired. But I did not see a beaten or broken man.
"He hasn't lost his zeal or his fight. He's adamantly maintaining his innocence."
