The trial for two former Penn State administrators is scheduled to begin early next year.

Dauphin County Common Pleas Judge Todd A. Hoover issued an order late Thursday announcing that jury selection in the trial for former athletic director Tim Curley and former vice president of business and finance Gary Schultz will begin Jan. 7.

In the scheduling order, Judge Hoover set deadlines for defense pretrial motions for Oct. 12, with responses by the Pennsylvania attorney general's office due on Oct. 24.

The trial is expected to last at least two weeks.

Both Mr. Curley and Mr. Schultz are charged with one count each of perjury and failure to report suspected child abuse related to the Jerry Sandusky sexual abuse case.

Mr. Sandusky was found guilty in June of 45 of 48 counts against him. A sentencing date has not yet been set but is expected for September.
