New poll shows Corbett's numbers put him in 'dire shape'

Gov. Tom Corbett is "in dire shape for re-election," according to the latest Public Policy Polling study.
The study by the Democratic-leaning pollsters shows the governor's approval ratings have slipped from their already bad state in January: as of this month, 33 percent of voters approve of his job performance to 57 percent who disapprove, and he trails every Democratic name they tested him against.
"At this point Tom Corbett looks like the most endangered governor in the country up for re-election next year," said Dean Debnam, president of Public Policy Polling.
Voters don't like the governor's lottery privatization plan (17 percent favor to 67 percent against) or his handling of PSU/Sandusky (25-58 percent).
Public Policy Polling surveyed 504 Pennsylvania voters, including an oversample of 373 usual Republican primary voters, from March 8 to 10. The margin of error for the overall survey is +/- 4.4 percent, and +/-5.1 percent for the GOP portion.
