'Women of Courage' awardees arrive today in Pittsburgh

Four woman who have been picked to receive the 2013 Secretary of State's International Women of Courage Award will arrive in Pittsburgh today.

Chatham University is partnering with GlobalPittsburgh and the U.S. Department of State to host a public forum featuring the women.

Pittsburgh is the first city on their nationwide tour to discuss global women's rights. The recipients are from Nigeria, Somalia, Egypt and Afghanistan and will receive their awards from Secretary of State John Kerry and First Lady Michelle Obama on Friday in Washington D.C.
