Winter storm watch posted for Laurel Highlands

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for Somerset County and the higher elevations in Westmoreland and Fayette counties.

The watch is in effect from late Thursday through Saturday evening, with snow and gusting winds expected. Six or more inches of snow are expected.

The watch area also extends south to the higher elevations of West Virginia.
