A 17-year-old boy was seriously injured when the car he was driving crashed in Somerset County Friday.

State police said the youth, whose name was not released because he is a juvenile, was traveling south on Route 160 in Stonycreek Township when he passed a car, lost control of the vehicle and slammed into an embankment. The car rolled over and struck the embankment again before traveling across the roadway and hitting the embankment on the east side of the road.
