State police seek assistance in identifying suspect car

State police are seeking assistance in identifying a vehicle thought to have been used in the robbery of two fast food restaurants in Fayette County, according to a press release.

The McDonald's in Brownsville was robbed around 5:15 p.m. Jan. 26. A black handgun was used in the robbery, which took place in the drive-thru area of the store, police said.

The same vehicle is thought to have been used in a similar incident at the Wendy's in Uniontown days later, police said.

State police at Belle Vernon are investigating.
