Squirrel Hill Tunnel to close again for work this weekend

The inbound Squirrel Hill Tunnel will close again this weekend for continued work on a $49.5 million rehabilitation project, PennDOT announced today.
The tunnel will close at 9 p.m. Friday and reopen by 5 a.m. Monday. All westbound traffic will be required to exit in a single lane at Edgewood-Swissvale. PennDOT warns of significant delays.
The eastbound tunnel will be open but traffic may be stopped briefly at times during movement of equipment.
