Springdale police investigate report of luring

Police and Allegheny Valley School District administrators are investigating after receiving a report that a man tried to lure a student who was walking to school this morning.
Superintendent Cheryl Griffith, in a letter addressed to parents, said the incident occurred while the Springdale Junior-Senior High School student was walking along Pittsburgh Street.
Springdale police are increasing their patrols and neighboring departments have been alerted, the superintendent said.
