Weather watchers didn't have much to look at Sunday, but experts at the National Weather Service office in Moon are monitoring a storm system that could bring more snow into the region late Tuesday.

"It's looking like it will make a nice East Coast storm from Philadelphia north but, depending on the track, we could get snow here," meteorologist Lee Hendricks said.

The weather system from the west is more likely to bring rain than snow Tuesday afternoon. Depending on how the storm tracks, up to 2 to 3 inches of snow is considered possible starting Tuesday night.

"Right now, it's looking like the snow will miss us for the most part, but we'll be monitoring the track," Mr. Hendricks said.

Precursors of spring remain elusive for the area, as high temperatures are to be in the low 30s today and high 30s Tuesday. Temperatures later in the week are expected to be closer to the normal high for this time of year, which is the mid-40s.
