Forecasters are predicting heavy snow Wednesday and Thursday

Forecasters are predicting that people living in Western Pennsylvania could see as much as 8 inches of snow between Wednesday and Thursday and that sleet and freezing rain may fall in some communities as well.
The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Indiana, Washington and Westmoreland counties.
Meteorologists said heavy snow will likely begin falling about 5 a.m. Wednesday and end by 6 a.m. Thursday, with more than an inch falling per hour at some points.
They warned that people living in the higher portions of Fayette and Westmoreland counties might see sleet and freezing rain and that visibility in some places might be reduced to a quarter-mile.
