Snow, cold brings some school delays, slick roads

Light snowfall overnight coupled with continued frigid temperature were causing slick roadways and another round of school delays in southwestern Pennsylvania.
School delays were more limited than in the past two days, likely because temperatures are slightly warmer. For a complete list of delays, visit the website of the PG's news partner, KDKA-TV.
Most major roadways near Pittsburgh were clear for the most part before dawn, but many secondary roads and streets had snow cover.
A lake-effect snow warning remains for Erie and Crawford counties until 10 a.m. Additional accumulations of 3 to 6 inches are expected through noon.
In Pittsburgh and nearby communities, temperatures before dawn were into the low and mid teens, a marginal improvement over yesterday's single digits. A light breeze from the west was producing wind chills around 5.
