A search party of about 50 professionals and volunteers are scouring Ohiopyle State Park again today in search of a missing 29-year-old man.
Assistant park manager Stacie Hall said the man's family called park officials Wednesday after not hearing from him since New Year's Eve. His car was spotted parked at the train station in the park on New Year's Eve and remains there.
"They knew he was here," Ms. Hall said.
The search started about 11 a.m. Wednesday. It continued until just after dark and resumed this morning at 7 a.m.
Ms. Hall said search dogs have been able to narrow down the area to be searched.
"We are following clues they are giving us," Ms. Hall said.
Involved in the search are search and rescue teams from the Fayette County Sheriff's Office and Appalachain Mountain Rescue along with park rangers and maintenance workers and volunteer firefighters.
Park officials said they have not released the missing man's identity because relatives are still being notified of his disappearance.
