Route 322 in Clarion County remained closed early this morning after a multiple-vehicle crash knocked down utility poles, leaving wires strewn across the road.

Marcie Emhoff, director of the county's Office of Emergency Services, said the wreck was reported at 11:48 p.m. at Route 322 near Spring Lane in Clarion Township, about two hours north of Pittsburgh. She did not know how many vehicles were involved, but said one person was flown to a hospital with injuries.

She anticipated the road would open at around 12:30 today after the wires were cleaned up. She said voters had alternate routes to polling places.
