Some area roadways may have been snow-covered this morning but they were largely free of traffic mishaps.

Emergency dispatchers around the region reported that Saturday night gave way to Sunday morning without any major incidents on the region's roads.

A spokesman for the state police at Moon, which patrol the interstate highway system in Allegheny County, reported that "things were real quiet overnight and this morning."

That was echoed by dispatchers in Allegheny, Butler, Washington, Westmoreland and Fayette counties.

"Roads are snow-covered but they're not giving anybody any trouble," said a dispatcher in Westmoreland County.

His counterpart in Washington County reported "it's a nice morning."
