Three men involved in a series of heists in Allegheny County and beyond were sentenced this morning to more than 20 years in prison.

Louis Rice, 24, and Keith Fields, both of Pittsburgh, received 25 to 50 years, and Gerald Davis Jr., 23, of Monroeville, received 22 to 44 years during a sentencing hearing before Common Pleas Judge Edward Borkowski, according to the Allegheny County district attorney's office.

Nine of a dozen incidents they were involved in were within the county, including at the Shaler McDonald's and the Primanti Brothers and Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants in North Versailles.

In March 2012, the men stormed a McDonald's in Shaler and held a 12-inch knife to an employee's throat, fired a shot at the ceiling and took $2,332, according to a criminal compliant.
