The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has reversed itself and will not open driver's license centers on the Monday before Election Day.

The department had planned to open those centers that are typically closed on Mondays to assist people seeking to comply with the state's new voter identification law. But Commonwealth Court this month ruled that voters do not need to show ID to vote on Nov. 6.

Centers that are normally open on Mondays, including the Pittsburgh office, will be open on Nov. 5.
